Brunch for Charity

The High Commission of Malaysia Ladies Association (PERWAKILAN Nairobi) in Nairobi held a Brunch on Saturday June 15, 2013 to raise funds for charity. The event was hosted by the Malaysian High Commissioner to Kenya H.E Ismail Salam at his residence in Runda. Hon Timothy Wanyonyi, the MP Westlands, was a key guest at the event. The Hon MP was accompanied by his wife Mrs Electina Wanyonyi. Dr Edward Odundo, Chief Executive Officer of the Retirement Benefits Authority (RBA) also attended the event.

The “All You Can Eat Brunch” was an informal charity event, whose returns will go towards supporting orphanages both in Kenya and Malaysia. There was a raffle draw, which saw lucky guests walk away with gift bags. Guests were treated to  Malaysian cuisine with foods like Nasi Lemak (Coconut milk rice), Mee Rebus(Noodles with sweet potato gravy) and Roti Jala (Lace Pancake with chicken curry).
