More than 1600 needy students from Westlands Constituency on Wednesday, February 18, 2015   benefited from the KES 10 million Constituency Development Funds (CDF) bursary funds.

Addressing members of the public and beneficiaries during the funds disbursement at the Constituency Office, the area Member of Parliament (MP) Hon Tim Wanyonyi reaffirmed his dedication towards improving education.

He said that the CDF will continue sponsoring students who are willing to join Kangemi Youth Polytechnic for various technical courses. He added that he was delighted with the huge turnout of constituents during the Westlands bursary open days held in each ward.

The MP called on all to be vigilant on people who deny their children right to education. He also mentioned that he would support constituents who sincerely approach him with genuine cases of bright and needy students.

The Chairperson of the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) Mrs Pamela Lusaka, said that her committee had fairly disbursed the funds in all wards without discrimination.

The beneficiaries were primary, secondary and middle level college students.
