Westlands MP Tim Wanyonyi on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 and Wednesday,October 9, 2019 led CDF public participation forums across the constituency.
Speaking at Kangemi on Tuesday, during the Kangemi and Mountain view forum,Mr Wanyonyi said it is important for the public to have an input on expected CDF allocations.
He disclosed that 43% of the CDF budget caters for emergencies,administration, bursaries, sports and environment, while the remainder is channeled to development projects.
"The remaining funds are meant for development of school and security infrastructure," said Wanyonyi
He urged youth, women and PWDs to register companies to bid for tenders in the NG-CDF.
The legislator cautioned individuals who have repeatedly used private institutions to fraudulently cash in bursary cheques that they will be arrested.
He announced that moving forward, individual cheques will be issued to bursary beneficiaries to avert any form of deceit.
Loresho police post hosted the Kitisuru forum with City Park hosting the Karura and Parklands forums.
